Unneeded Protection

As I was saying, I was at LinuxWorld yesterday. As I was walking around the booths checking out the shwag being offered, someone at the BitDefender booth was handing out hat pins and little boxes. I had no idea what was in the little boxes they were handing out — I figured it was either a tiny deck of cards or some mints or some junk.

Most shwag is completely useless junk, like a tiny water gun or a frisbee, but you could not have gotten more useless than this for the LinuxWorld crowd. Inside the box was a wrapped, unused condom. Printed on the box: “1 Standard Condom. Please read and Accept the EULA before use.” Yes there is an EULA, and it’s hilarious.
